Believed to be the meeting point of five sacred rivers, Panchganga Ghat has a distinct, meditative atmosphere with a long history as a spiritual centre. It's a quieter, more contemplative stop along the boat route.
Not a ghat but a striking landmark — this ancient temple leans at a visible angle, partially submerged in the Ganga. Against the backdrop of thousands of diyas, it makes for one of the most photographed sights of the evening.
Choosing just one ghat to stand at means missing everything else — and with police barricades and massive crowds, even reaching your chosen ghat can take hours.
